“Marina’s house was built by her grandmother in 1842 and stepping inside feels like stepping back in time. While the inside is decorated in soft florals and faded pinks, Marina painted the entire exterior an ultramarine blue inspired the works of French artist Jacques Majorelle and Frida Kahlo. The aqua palette, faded photographs and vine-covered basketball hoop only make me more interested in Marina’s endless stories about old Georgia. Later as we wave goodbye to her from two floors below, she stands idyllically perched on her balcony, and jokes about being an old Georgian guru. I don’t disagree.” -@chantalphoto #notyettrending
