Along with many many others tonight, we mourn the loss of our dear friend Danielle Fletcher. I remember a few years ago, Danielle’s mom called my mum while we were in LA and, before we knew it, you were coming home with me to train in Australia. I was very excited to make a new friend, but not just any friend, an absolutely stunning friend from Hawaii.
Fate would have it, and your grandma lived about 5 streets from me in Australia, so it would be an easy transition for you to come from Hawaii and be near me to skate.
I already knew from the first time I saw you skate that you would medal at the NSW Figure Skating Championships. And you did. That was pretty cool Dani.
I was sad when you had to go back to Hawaii, but then I was stoked to see you got into Uni in California, so I knew you wouldn’t be that far from me whenever I was in LA.
I know you are still not that far away from me as you will always be in my heart. I love you and miss you Miss Hawaii. On behalf of all the skaters in the Australian Community we are sending our love to the Fletcher family. I wish I was in Hawaii to give you all hugs. ❤️⛸???? @danielleflet
