7 years ago today I sold out @carnegiehall. This show meant the world to me because "Carlin at Carnegie" was the first #GeorgeCarlin @hbo special I'd ever seen. I watched it with my Mom and Dad seeing them squirm as Carlin opened with an abortion joke and howl at everything else. This man was a hero in my house and my family's hero played #CarnegieHall - so treading those same famous boards was one of the proudest moments of my life. My oral skills had taken me all the way to one of the world's most famous stages (insert blowjob joke here), so most of my family was there that night, including my wife, my kid (@harleyquinnnn_ introduced me!), my Mom, my brother and my in-laws. I was in the middle of the second week of production on #CopOut so the whole cast & crew were in attendance too (except for that one guy). I wore a bathrobe because I was so heavy then, and the terry cloth absorbed a ton of sweat. My jean shorts were crazy long and I was wearing a shirt with the @njdevils logo on it. And the crowd? The crowd was so tremendously wonderful, I snapped a pic of them at the end of the show. Only thing that could've made that night better would've been if my Dad had been alive to see it.
