"When I was in school, I didn't see many reflections of myself unless it was an August Wilson play. We are making advances. Diversity is so much more of a topic. That's all fine and good, but we have to get to a point where it's about the story. Yes, Eclipsed cannot be done with white women. But with things that are universal, such as Shakespeare, it should be inclusive of everyone. Break open the doors. Maybe when we see different people telling the story, then we can get closer and closer to the universality of a story, because in the end we are all human."–@pascale_armand (actress, @eclipsedbway)
