Photo by @Tim Laman. Alien of the deep, this is the Rainbow Smashing Mantis Shrimp, one of the world’s most amazing crustaceans. Compared to humans with three types of color sensing cones in our eyes, this mantis shrimp has 16 types of color sensors including ability to see UV light and polarized light.
