I always struggle with what to post on Memorial Day. Everything feels insufficient for the sacrifice that was made. I have been praying today for the families who have lost loved ones and decided to repost from my good friend @melanieluttrell She and @marcusluttrell have walked through the loss of many they love. They exemplify a life of honor to the fallen. ・・・REPOST @melanieluttrell Memorial Day is pain for so many. When I hear people say "Happy Memorial Day" I wonder to myself what is "happy" about it? I took this picture while we waited on the tarmac for JT to be flown home to be laid to rest in Iowa. The Patriot Guard showed up strong. As I reflect on that day, the only thing that I can think about that is "happy" about Memorial Day is celebrating the lives these guys lived. Let's celebrate them, honor them, memorialize them. Forever and always. To the brothers in arms, we respect you, we honor you, we appreciate you, we love you! Your pain is not forgotten today. To the families, this is your day. Some people think it's just a day off of work. It's so much more than that. It's a day off to honor YOU. I hope all of you are able to enjoy time with those you love. #MemorialDay
