President @Barack Obama and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan took part in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial earlier today. In a speech, @Barack Obama called for "a future in which Hiroshima and Nagasaki are not known as the dawn of atomic warfare, but as the start of our own moral awakening." @Barack Obama is the first sitting American president to visit #Hiroshima, where the U.S. dropped the first-ever atomic bomb at the end of World War II.
