We are sat at the bar of this legendary hotel. Based on very similar ingredients to the most famous #classic whiskey cocktail in this city, the Rob Roy was created here in 1894. Using exclusively #scotch #whisky instead of rye.
50ml Chivas 12yr
25ml Sweet Vermouth
Dash of Angostura Bitters
maraschino cherry
Take a martini glass and fill it with ice and chilled water (cool the glass down)
Stir all the ingredients in a mixing glass, use the best quality ice you can find and fill the mixing glass. Stir until chilled and slightly diluted. Empty the martini glass and then carefully strain the contents into the (now) chilled glass. Garnish with a cherry - enjoy!
