Currently we are in #newyork the birthplace of Chivas Regal and a reason to celebrate some #classic #scotch #cocktails, great bars and it's fine bartenders. The first in our series is called 'The Morning Glory Fizz' dates back to 1882 when the recipe was recorded by a legendary bartender named Harry Johnson. We recommend this as follows
50ml / 2oz Chivas 12yr
20ml fresh lemon juice
20ml sugar syrup
Egg White
Dash of Absinthe
Soda water top.
Shake first 5 of the ingredients in a shaker without ice to froth the egg white and other ingredients, this ensures it is creamy and velvety. Add ice and shake hard again. Serve in a tall thin glass without ice. Originally served in the morning, hence the name but we prefer to drink it in the evening as an #aperitif. #slainte
