House of the Day: House of Silence by Kouichi Kimura Architects

Located in Japan’s Shiga Prefecture, the House of Silence was designed to interrupt, rather than respond to, its environment. A vast concrete structure with few windows, the interior of the house provides a complete escape from its urban surroundings.
