House of the Day: Norman Lykes' house by Frank Lloyd Wright

The final project of iconic American architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1897-1959), Norman Lykes’ house in Phoenix, Arizona, was designed shortly before his death in April 1959. Wright’s apprentice John Rattenbury, with whom he had carefully discussed the project, oversaw construction, which was completed in 1967.

The property is typical of Wright’s late-career style.
