The story of London’s new mayor, Sadiq Khan (@sadiqkmp), is something like a British version of the American dream. @sadiqkmp was born to parents who moved to Britain from Pakistan. His father worked as a bus driver and his mother a seamstress. They were able to live in public housing and put money aside to purchase a home while their children went to state schools and universities. @sadiqkmp became a lawyer, transport minister and now, at 45, mayor of one of the world’s great cities. This week, he said that his election is a lesson to @ドナルド・トランプ that #Islam is perfectly compatible with Western values.
