When Tiffany started hosting on Airbnb, her first guests were the parents of a good friend, who were in town for a wedding. Since then she has enjoyed hosting hundreds of travelers, helping to share her love for Brooklyn. She and her family know that New York can seem overwhelming to a first time visitor, so they try to give guest the tools they need to venture out on their own. “We have a huge map of downtown Brooklyn and Boerum Hill in our kitchen, which can help them get their bearings, and it’s even marked with tips on the best bars, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.” The benefits of Airbnb go both ways, though. The extra income they’ve earned has enabled their own family's travels. “Hosting on weekends and during summer vacations has paid for our family to continue our vagabonding adventure lifestyle.
