these buttermilk biscuits have been sitting in a pan on the back of the stove, tempting me each time I walk by - dense but fluffy and with a tangy twinge only buttermilk can add - I'm dreaming of our heavenly dessert from the weekend - baking powder buttermilk biscuit, a sharp rhubarb compote to which I added a whisper of sugar so it smacks of citrus and spring and then just a tiny dollop of soft homemade buttermilk ice cream -
it's utterly divine in the simplest way
