Sixteen years ago a man in Hong Kong took a phone call from someone asking if he would be interested in booking the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra for a series of shows at his venue. The man enthusiastically said yes. On the arranged dates a large orchestra came, rehearsed, performed a string of concerts and then left. Sometime later someone realised that during those dates the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra were actually on tour the other side of the world in Europe. So it turned out that a very large, very talented group of con men had come to Hong Kong. The group managed to put on performances that fooled thousands of people each night, earn glowing reviews and then get away with it. Amazingly it's a true story.
