I got my third biopsy result that I had been waiting for two weeks. The cancer has not spread!! Because my cancer is an aggressive type and due to the initial misdiagnose, I was prepared for the bad news. My motto lately has been "Expect the worst, pray for the best". The prayer definitely helped.
The pathology report says "Clear margin" which highly likely means that the surgeon was able to get the entire tumor out. This was also a big deal as I wouldn't have to go under knife again for this. I really needed a good news right about now and I was blessed with two. It might sound strange, but I felt guilty for being lucky... I have been reading journals other breast cancer patients are posting online. (even though I was suggested not to read these) They helped me prepare myself, but they also gave me panic attacks at night. Now that I'm not in the same boat as some of these women, whose stories I've read, I feel like I am being rescued in the dark sea and I am leaving others behind. ? It's hard to explain this feeling in words... I can do is pray for others who have it worse. Always.
