April 16-24 is #NationalParkWeek – celebrating America's best idea with free admission to every National Park. In recognition of this great event (created by @nationalparkservice and our conservation partners @goparks) we're highlighting a different National Park every day through April 24.

Today we look out over @GrandCanyonNPS, and the natural wonder that gives the park its name. The Colorado River created this immense canyon that bisects the park: 277 river miles long, up to a mile deep and up to 18 miles wide. The park also features camping, miles of hiking trails and numerous waterfalls and jaw-dropping sights in the canyon's many tributaries. #FindYourPark #NPS100
