Photo by @Tim Laman. The Flamboyant Cuttlefish is aptly named, for it is the most colorful cephalopod I have ever seen (ie. Member of the squid and octopus Class). This little guy, only about 5 cm long, had me mesmerized as I tried to capture its photo during a night dive in the Triton Bay area of West Papua, #Indonesia. It was certainly one of the highlights of our marine biodiversity survey expedition around the Western end of the big island of New Guinea in the region known as the Bird’s Head Seascape, named after the shape of the island. #IndonesiaBiodiversity, #WorldsRichestReefs , #Indonesia, #RajaAmpat, @thephotosociety, @natgeocreative.
