Jin Takemura has been a consistent early adopter of technology-forward automotive trends, having owned hybrids, electric cars, and early hydrogen fuel cell models. With the Mirai, he acknowledges that Toyota is at the top of the emerging market. "Toyota as a company isn't a big on first to game," he says, "But they've always been very successful at best to game.
