The #circus is coming to town, this time with a story to tell. @cirquedusoleil is once again trying to establish a long-running production in New York City, the major-league market that has most stubbornly frustrated its ambitions. This time, @cirquedusoleil is trying a high-wire hybrid — a combination of theater and acrobatics, with a splash of old Hollywood — in a $25 million musical called “Paramour.” Never one to bet small, it’s opening the show cold on the world’s most famous stage: Broadway. @ニューヨーク・タイムズ staff photographer Sara Krulwich took this photo of Joe McAdam, a 23-year-old acrobat from England, rehearsing at the @lyricbroadway. “Paramour” begins previews this weekend, but it will officially open on May 25.
