The photographer Terry O’Neill was 25 when he got the call to follow @The Rolling Stones. In the mid-1960s, the group was an emerging act: a raw-sounding, roguish-looking blues band whose repertoire was stacked with cover songs. “You have to remember that we were all just starting our lives, and the blues idols whom the Stones copied were not even huge,” Terry told the @ニューヨーク・タイムズ #lensblog. The @The Rolling Stones fully expected to be eclipsed by the next fad. “We used to talk about what jobs we were going to get when this was over,” Terry said. “We used to joke about @ミック・ジャガー doing this at 40.” Terry’s 1964 photo of #MickJagger posing in a fur parka is included in a new book about the band’s critically formative years, which also features images by Gered Mankowitz. “Breaking Stones 1963-1965: A Band On The Brink Of Superstardom” comes out today. #tbt #iconicimagesnet #terryoneill
