Right now when visitors approach the museum, they’ll encounter #FischliWeiss’s “Haus,” a 1/5 scale replica of a generic factory building that stands along Fifth Avenue as an architectural counterpoint to #FrankLloydWright's Guggenheim building. Artist Peter Fischli explains, “A consistent theme in our work has always been the notion of ‘popular opposites.’ And an idea from the start was to exhibit ‘Haus’—which is supposed to represent the most ordinary building of late modernism and have the aura of the most ordinary of buildings—in front of the Guggenheim, so as to have this confrontation between the ordinary and the extraordinary.” "Haus" is on view through April 27. #ArchitectureMW ? @dmheald
