I'm a pretty wise kitty but there's something I just don't understand and need your help. ?
There are organizations that do a lot of good for the welfare of animals and they have a big voice in the world.
What if they say they oppose something that is really, really bad for cats (declawing) and know that many vets make a lot of money doing this mutilating thing to cats.
What if they say they are not going to support the bill in NY to ban this inhumane procedure. They have supported bills for horse carriages and puppy mills and worked hard to help pass those bills.
Do cats' lives just not matter as much to them? ?
Why won't they support a bill that is good for cats but BAD for the pocketbooks of pro-declaw veterinarians. ????
Please help me understand why this might be. It truly hurts my heart to know that they won't help and it isn't guaranteed that this bill will pass since the NYSVMS is spending thousands of $$$ to kill this bill.
What's a voice if it isn't used it to end something that is very inhumane and is a well known form of torture and animal cruelty? Maybe you can respectfully ask them and get an answer that makes sense.. Animal League- press@animalleague.org 516-883-7575
