Photo by @andywcoleman // The crown jewel of the Coyote Buttes North Wilderness area near the Arizona/Utah border is a place known as the Wave. This area is restricted to only 20 permit holders a day and transports you to an otherworldly terrain. Getting there is not easy - it is a three mile hike across hilly, rocky and sandy desert. There are no facilities, so you need to bring a lot of water along with your camera gear. The effort is worth it, though, as you could spend the entire day photographing in and around this site. When we arrived, I wasn't really excited about this small patch of water in the channel heading to the main section of the wave, but @jonathan_irish convinced me to take a closer look at the reflection. @natgeocreative
