Man City 4-0 Villa – FT: Man City ran riot after the break to condemn Villa to a heavy defeat. It could have been worse for the claret and blues but Sergio Aguero spurned a chance from the penalty spot. The away side’s resolve finally cracked just after the break as City bagged a quickfire double. Yaya Toure turned home David Silva’s pass on 48 minutes and just two minutes later Aguero doubled the lead. Wilfried Bony played a pass in behind Micah Richards and the Villa skipper’s sliding tackle came spinning back off Aguero. Aguero scored his second on the hour mark, firing past Guzan at the near post after skilfully chesting down Silva’s return pass.
