Happy Birthday, Brian Laudrup! The former Danish international turns 47 today. During his career Laudrup represented a number of top European clubs, winning several trophies. The forward played 82 games and scored 21 goals for Denmark and was a vital part of the teams that won UEFA EURO 1992 and the 1995 FIFA Confederations Cup. He shone at the 1998 FIFA World Cup scoring two goals and producing three assists. The quarter-final was his last game for Denmark, when they were defeated 2-3 by Brazil. Laudrup scored to level the game at 2-2, then ran to the sidelines and lay down on his side leaning his head on his elbow, as if he had been on the beach.
