growing up, pancakes were only ever made by my father or farmor - never the huge light fluffy type but rather dark dense only slightly sweet and delectably buttery - made in an old cast iron pan belonging to my great grandmother - now that pan lives in my kitchen and for #pancaketuesday I've updated this household classic to be a more savory affair with wholewheat flour, toppings of spiced hazlenuts salty yogurt spring onion and tart lingonberry sauce
