Les Otten picks up his ballot before the midnight primary vote at The Balsams Resort in Dixville, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. The midnight vote is a Dixville tradition dating back to 1960. The town is a few miles from the Canadian border, and has only nine voting residents. Eight of the nine voters (one is out of town and turned in an absentee ballot) showed up, and polls closed around 12:15.
