#Repost @cheyennet 1. In three words describe who you are? Mother, dreamer, performer 2. Tell me about three women who inspire you? My nanna; Dora Sanders. She was a stay at home mum to 8 children, she was fiery, strong, compassionate, funny and wise. She was the glue of the family and a source of inspiration for me. Cate Shortland (the director of Somersault & Berlin Syndrome) I just finished filming Berlin Syndrome with Cate. The way she sees beauty in the often violent moments of life is refreshing. She sees the world from such a unique perspective and commands the attention of her peers from just the brilliance of her mind. I'm in awe of her. Jessica Chastain- I've never met her but I feel very inspired by her voice as a performer. I think she is a chameleon, so brave in her work and choices. She also uses her profile to affect positive change in the world which is something I desire to do too. 3. What has been your most cherished moment in life and what did it teach you about women? Giving birth was both the most cherished and transformative day of my life. It taught me about trusting in the innate powers of woman and what primal, fierce and intuitive creatures we are. 4. What is the biggest challenge that you've confronted in life and what did it teach you about yourself? Navigating the move I made at 20 years old to pursue acting in America was a very difficult challenge for me. To let go of this idea of how my life would look was really confronting. I had all my ducks neatly lined up in a row, I knew who I was going to marry, I was going to be a teacher, my children were going to go to school where I had gone etc. I left all of my friends, my family and my stability back home for the chance to live this dream that seemed really unattainable. It was incredibly scary and a vulnerable choice to have to make as such a young age. Of course now I'm so happy I pushed through that discomfort and fear. 5. What qualities do you admire most in women? A woman who can truly stand in her authenticity whatever that may look like. Strength, Passion, Nurturing, Warmth. 6. Who is the most important woman in your life? My mother. #capturedbycheyenne
