I related to this picture so much! In my early 20s I neglected my body, ate crap foods, boozed most weekends & rarely exercised. I was "burning the candle at both ends" as they say. (what your early 20s are for though right) ? I was in a very fortunate position to be earning a good wage & providing for myself. Now I've never been one to spend on designer shoes & bags. I have zero interest. I find it odd when people obsess over needing the latest design or owning a certain design. Now I have good friends who LOVE fashion & it's each to their own so I'm not judging those who do HAVE to own every pair of Louboutin shoes ? in fact I have some myself & bags for that matter but they have ALL been bought for me by my friends for birthday milestones or various other reasons. Mikyla my long and amazing friend from Hollyoaks (she played Chloe) actually once threatened to disown me as I arrived at an event with my over night stuff in an adidas sports bag ? that same year she got me a beautiful Ralph Lauren bag for future nights away with a note telling me to burn my other one. The shoes & bags I bought / buy for myself are all high street and I love them. What I wish I had spent my time and money on, is me ?? I wish I I'd have known to buy good food (although I feel prices are a piss take on that and need to be lowered!!) ? a gym membership, regular massages, facials, motivational books, detox & training retreats & gym gear. I wish I did all that earlier!! I wish I Loved MYSELF earlier!! I know to some that's HUGLEY boring but these are things that are ultimately improving my health, my energy levels, my mind and my body. Investing in YOUR BODY, MIND & SOUL is SO important! I wish I'd of known all this when I was 21! I would have bought my juicer way back then instead of driving to Mc Donald's for my breakfast ? ultimately time for yourself and your health is worth so much more then anything else. So much pressure is put on us (especially teenagers) to own this or that material thing and it's bullshit! Own your health!!!! That's what matters, that's what's important... Oh and a dog! You should own a dog because they are THE best things for your soul ?? ❤️
