Villa 2-0 Norwich – FT: It’s three points for Villa! Gabby Agbonlahor sealed the victory on 51 minutes – his goal adding to Joleon Lescott’s effort just before half time. Six minutes after the restart, Agbonlahor raced on to Jordan Veretout’s pass down the left and was cool and clinical in slotting past Declan Rudd from a tight angle. Leandro Bacuna fired off target with two great chances as Villa pushed for a third. It wasn’t all plain sailing for the hosts, though, against a Canaries outfit who refused to lie down. In the final minutes, Mark Bunn threw himself in front of Dieumerci Mbokani’s close-range effort following a goalmouth scramble which almost resulted in a bizarre own goal from Lescott. And Jores Okore and Carles Gil cleared off the line in quick succession from Russell Martin and Mbokani respectively. #AVFC #NCFC #AVLNOR
