Aerial sunrise over the stunning mangrove forests and canals of #evergladesnationalpark in Florida. It's the dry season, but excessive rain this year has water levels higher than they often are during the wet season, bring substantially more fresh water further into the park. It comes with pros and cons, alligators have larger range but so do fish, amphibians and small reptiles making fishing and hunting more complicated for predators. For nesting birds that rely on the higher ground areas away from watering holes, like the wood stork, options are limited. Shot this morning, #onassignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック
