Last post about the weekend at #boulderingnationals ! It would be a lie if I told you I entered the comp with the goal to take second place, but It would also be ridiculous of me to be upset with taking silver after all that I have been through over the past 7 months. I was literally 1 hold away from my goal of becoming 10x National champion, but there will always be another one! ? A few months ago I wasn't even able to take falls and I was preparing for the outcome of not being able to compete at all! Then I got the "ok" to start taking some actual falls and dynos a few weeks ago. The week before the comp I drove up to Vail to see my surgeon one last time and he said the new ACL seemed good and the MCL was good too, "but" my muscles that support the knee are still not back to full strength. They said as long as I'm "careful" with the way I fall then I can take the risk and compete. So 7 months after surgery and after the "longish" road to recovering, and still on that road, I would say a hold away from my dream goal and taking #silverplace is pretty satisfying!!! ? Now for the next chapter and some #newgoals , Hueco Tanks here we come!!! ☀️??
