SENIOR SUNDAY! @susiesseniordogs asks you to show these senior dogs some brotherly and sisterly love! "Two little peanuts in a pod! Meet brother and sister Coco and Lila, ages 9 and 6 years old. They have been lingering at the city shelter in Palo Alto, CA for two whole months without any interest. They are sweet, loving, and friendly with other dogs, too. And we are stumped as to why they are stuck! A volunteer writes, "Coco and Lila, smooth-coated Chihuahua mixes, were surrendered together by their previous owner. Coco and Lila's family had to move and their new place does not allow for pets. The pair was surrendered in fantastic shapes and you can tell that they were loved. Since they have lived together their entire lives, they really need to be adopted as a pair. Coco is a very laid back senior (he's the brown one). He's about 9 years old and seven pounds. Coco is still very agile as he loves to leap onto laps and he will still run and play with younger dogs. Lila is about 6 years old and roughly the same size and weight as Coco...only with shorter legs. She is the more cautious one of the two and definitely the boss of Coco. Like Coco, Lila is also very sweet and while she can play and run with the quickest of puppies, she prefers to watch all the action from the comfort of your lap. Both Coco and Lila get along and can live with other dogs and grew up with in a family with children (2 year old to 18 year old) so they can definitely live with children. Both dogs are house trained, love treats, love to snuggle with each other, love to sit on laps, will give kisses, will sit, and enjoy walks!"
