Today in our "Illustrating the Guggenheim" series, enjoy this whimsical, #Calder-inspired illustration of the Guggenheim by cartoonist and illustrator @r_kikuo_johnson. “I most strongly associate the Guggenheim with a mid-century modern aesthetic, and I wanted my illustration to have some of the design tropes of that era. I imagined a Calder mobile, with its distinctly modern lines and asymmetrical shapes, reflecting scenes of the museum in which it hangs.”—R. Kikuo Johnson.
