Facing out to the #Mumbai Harbour from the tip of Apollo Bunder this bold arch is the Gateway of #India and is the first shot from @chefyash for this weekend's #lpInstaTakeover.

Incorporating Islamic styles of 16th-century Gujarat, it was built to commemorate the 1911 royal visit of King George V, but wasn’t actually completed until 1924. These days, the gateway is a popular gathering spot for locals as well as visitors to the city.
