To celebrate #Mumbai making it to our #BestinTravel selections for 2016, this weekend’s #lpInstaTakeover is by Mumbai based photographer (and chef!) Yash Rane (@chefyash). Here he is soaking up the vibrant city.

Mumbai has been long referred to as ‘Maximum City’ (credit to the author Suketu Mehta for its snappy nickname), and 2016 is set to be the year that this powerhouse of fashion, finance and film comes of age. Signs of it can be seen all over the city; glitzy shopping arcades are popping up all around town, the new Mumbai Monorail will speed above the streets (air-conditioning included!) and skyscrapers continue to surge skyward. Travellers can also revel in the brand new terminal at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Phew! Well, with all that happening in 2016 we’re pretty sure that @chefyash will not be short of snaps to share... Stay tuned to our feed over the weekend for some of his best captures of the city!
