Also called the Bornean Agile Gibbon, this species (Hylobates albibarbis) is only found in Indonesia, between the Kapuas and Barito Rivers. Gibbons have beautiful territorial calls that are great to wake up to in the morning when you are camping in the rain forest of Kalimantan. But forest loss threatens this species, and they are now considered an Endangered species (IUCN Red List status EN).
