Ok, you're probably thinking wtf is this crazy chick at right now! But it's hard finding emojis to censor a picture and nothing else was cutting the mustard but these little licky tongues so I went with it because pixelating it was still rude as hell. I wanted to capture the essence of today's society and how we're slowly turning into mindless silent zombies zoning out on life and the real world. We bury our faces in our phones and scarcely look up to interact with others. I see children with headphones on lost in their own little worlds, sitting still with their eyes glued to screens and it breaks my heart because they should be running around playing and laughing like I did as a child. We are becoming the walking dead and relationships, families and whole communities will fail because of it. The power of communication is so important, not just in how many likes or followers you have online but in your ability to maintain eye contact, respond to somebodies body language and hold your own in a conversation. Please don't lose sight of the beauty of this world by viewing it through a lens 24/7, take in an experience for what it truly is and use your eyes and mind to remember it not your camera roll. I love social media but I also love wide open blue sky's, wild flower meadows and holding hands with my children.
