They were served over a bowl of zucchini noodles which is an excellent alternative for pasta for those of us who are trying to limit the carbs???? - @thefeistykitchen: Pizza Meatballs: 1 lb ground beef, grass fed (@5280meat) 1 lb ground pork, pastured (@5280meat) 1 egg 2 tbsp paleo mayo (or spicy aioli) 2 tbsp #FlavorGod Pizza 2 tsp #FlavorGod Pink S+P 1/2 c breadcrumbs (glutenfree) 1/2 c milk of choice 2 jars of favorite clean pasta sauce fresh basil, julienned for garnish - Directions: Preheat oven to 450F. In small bowl, add breadcrumbs and milk. Stir to combine. - In large mixing bowl, add all ingredients including breadcrumbs and milk. Roll up your sleeves and mix gently with hands until combined. Roll into about 2 dozen 1 1/2 inch size meatballs. Pro Tip: I use an ice-cream scoop to keep them uniform size. - On a lined baking sheet or 9x13 baking dish, arrange meatballs so that all the sides are touching. Bake for 15 minutes. - Heat a large skillet over med-high heat, add pasta sauce and meatballs (I added an additional 2 tbsp Pizza seasoning to sauce). Bring to boil, then reduce heat to med-low and continue to simmer for approx 5-10 minutes. **Might have to heat in 2 skillets or 2 batches if they don’t all fit in one. - Serve with your choice of pasta/noodles.
