A scarlet macaw takes flight from a nearby Beach almond tree. We spent the better part of an hour photographing these beautiful birds last year while exploring Caletas Reserve in #CostaRica. I'm currently enroute to join one of our expedition ships, the National Geographic Sea Lion and can't hardly wait!
