Après les fêtes de Noël, les Bulgares se jettent dans une eau glacée pour marquer l’Épiphanie. Traditionnellement, un prêtre Orthodoxe jette une croix dans l'eau et il est dit que celui qui la retrouve sera en bonne santé toute l'année de même que ceux qui dansent dans la rivière.
