In the harrowing film, @ブリー・ラーソン plays Ma, a young woman imprisoned by a sexual predator. Only her 5-year-old son, who was born in captivity, gives her the will to keep going. To capture what 7 years locked away would do to someone, @ブリー・ラーソン embarked on an intense, if subtle, makeover: She stayed indoors, and endured hard-core workouts with a trainer, as well as a protein-packed diet of 6 (very) small meals a day for 6 months to translate 15 pounds of fat into muscle and a sinewy look.
