In 2003, @dax_shepard @matthewlillard & I made a movie called Without A Paddle. We shot for 3 months in New Zealand, which at the time was a massive exporter of wool & wool products. That means there were tons of sheep farms covering the countryside, which we saw driving to & from set each day.
Over the course of the shoot, we saw both birthing & shearing cycles pass. During one drive, we noticed a lone baby had somehow gotten on the outside of the paddock fence. We pulled over and ran to reunite it with its mother, who was bleating painfully from the separation. @dax_shepard put the baby back over the fence, but we agreed that this photo was necessary first. If you look closely you'll see the lamb is smiling.
