#TBT the first time I was on stage.
My parents worked at a summer camp and I spent all my time hanging out with the drama club. They didn't want to cast me (I was 6) but I kept pestering them until I was finally given a one line part at the very end of the play. This picture is from our curtain call, where I was consumed with the certainty that this is what I do. Throughout my career I've had to reaffirm that choice- through all the obstacles and lacks of opportunity, I've always known it's up to me to keep earning the chance to perform.
