#KendrickLamar was on the cover of #RollingStone in March for the release of #ToPimpaButterfly, which has been nominated for 11 #Grammys. Being a rapper was far from preordained for #Lamar. As late as middle school, he had a noticeable stutter. "Just certain words," he says. "It came when I was excited or in trouble." But in seventh grade, an English teacher turned him on to poetry — #rhymes, metaphors, double-entendres — and Lamar fell in love.
