#JimiHendrix wrote the lyrics to #PurpleHaze on this day in 1966. It was written between performances at the #London Uppercrust Club. #Hendrix launched into a guitar riff in the club’s dressing room where #ChasChandler then said “That’s the next single!” The song was released on January 8th, 1967.
