This pink-splattered picture of singer Anderson East? It’s courtesy of @neilkrug, a Los Angeles-based artist and photographer best known for his colorfully decaying frames of everyone from Lana Del Rey to A$AP Rocky. Once Neil takes the photo, he then gets to work dyeing objects (inanimate or otherwise) in different shades of red, purple, blue, yellow and everything in between. It’s a process he can trace all the way back to his upbringing in Kansas.
“Even as a kid when I’d be in the car with my parents and somebody would come on the radio that I loved, I would immediately go into what I would now call a brainstorm,” he says. “Then I just thought of it as a daydream.”
