Last 2 weeks of the year I cram in every last flick for box office hype & to see how it will fare at #TheOscars (my O$car pool is no joke, I still haven't gotten over the trauma of Penn's #Milk upset over what I thought was $ure $hot note perfect Rouke in #TheWrestler, but that's the game: what you feel should win vs what you think academy will think. That year I didn't know about MR's #goldenglobes speech freaking out the academy & ruining his chances in the end---oh well) so thus far:

Creed: @@@@ believe the academy will give #Stallone the best supporting nod. this is the comeback story the academy loves. enjoyed it.

Star Wars @@@@1/2 for those that know me well you're kinda mind blown right now because of my well documents history of kickin & screaming playing 40 year catch up w a franchise I truthfully was indifferent about. Fell asleep at original film in 77 (there was a space double feature of #CloseEncounters & Star Wars went to the night show at 8 something by the time Wars started I was done. Hey i was 6!. But somehow I remember meeting #SisterSledge's aunt in a cafeteria of a @holidayinn at #TheClothespin on #MarketStreet ---1st time I ever had cheddar cheese slice on an apple pie. Even though it was almost 1am we got home in time for me to see the #BrothersJohnson & #FosterSylvers Ep 242 of @SoulTrain (first time I heard #Elvis' #DontBeCruel btw) --so yeah the whole Star Wars thing didn't interest me at all as a kid. And I went to the last 3 installments & was all "pssssh" gotta say this latest one engaged me like a mofo! (Last two weeks I caught up & watched a Wars a day) loved how JJ included much need diversity. Will see this again & again.

Sisters: @@@1/2 enjoyable throwback comedy of those "mom & dad are out of town so let's throw a party guys!!!!!" flicks. Not an Oscar contender. But I do love watching masters at work ---even the supporting cast.

The Big Short: @@@@ I want #AdamMcKay to explain everything from now on. For reals. I want the #NRA film next. Required viewing. #SteveCarell will get a nod no doubt. Seeing 4 more flicks tomorrow.
