Children played on their father’s demolition derby car outside their home in West Aliquippa, a decaying former steel town in Pennsylvania about 20 miles from Pittsburgh. When the photographer @petemarovich began reading about a “resurgence” in Pittsburgh, he thought of West #Aliquippa, where his father was born. No renaissance is happening there. Not much of anything is happening there. @petemarovich returned to tell the story of a community holding on after the collapse of an industry that gave it life.
